I bet that it's not even close to how embarrasing it is for how much time it took for me to figure out who you were. Everyone but you I knew who they were as soon as I saw them. You on the other hand, I just figured out about ten minutes ago. :)

I can't think of anything either, me and fuzzyoctopus have hard names, the best I can come up with is something with the word "Lighting", like "Christmas Lighting"
For fuzzyoctopus, you could use something with the word fuzzy, like santa's fuzzy suit, but that's the best I can think up.

1- Christmas Lighting or something
2- Cookies and milk Eater
3- Less then Easter
so far I'm leaning towards the second.

Here are my pitiful attempts at helping with hard names:
Fuzzyoctopus could be "Eight Fuzzy Stockings" or "A Fuzzy Jolly Christmas" or "O Fuzzy Night"
Lightning Eater could be "Holiday Candy Eater" or "Lightning the Red-Nosed Eater" or "Bring Lightning, Jeannette, Isabella" (instead of "Bring a Torch, Jeannette, Isabella" one of my fave carols)

And I made up the name Yule Brenna for Brenna last year. Get it? EUOL thought he'd steal my joke, but obviously it didn't work well for him. :P
Also, Gemm has a Christmas name, but I haven't seen him post in forever. Hey Gemm, come back and grace us with your randomness! I miss you!

Which actually really doesn't work, because all he is right now is a play on the name Yul Brynner, which is only slightly connected to the word Yule. I think he was EUOL log last year. EUOLtide is great, too.

No, last year he was Evil Undead Santa Clause. So he probably hasn't used both EUOL log and EUOL tide, because this is just the third year of this, right?

Yes, it is. Wait, no. Some people did it the year before, mainly Jeffe, but I didn't participate till they broke my resolve last year--i.e., everybody was doing it, so I jumped off the cliff, too.
As for actual names, though, my memory of such things is pretty nil. Then I vote for EUOL log. And I think fuzzy should be fuzzymittens. Or maybe that can be her January non-Christmasy name.

Do you ever feel like you are an island in a sea of Christmas insanity? I know I do.
That's why I did a shout out for the other December holiday--Hanukah.
I wanted something creative, and couldn't really think of anything. Then I remembered how Hanukah is sometimes spelled Chanukah, and thought I would play off of that. Plus, two of my characters in my novel are pyromaniacs so thus I also am currently obsessed with fire. Remorr would be all about lighting a menorah (and everything else around it) on fire. And Aive would then promptly try to burn herself with it. :P Ah, Hanukah. The true pyromaniacs holiday.
I'm not changing my avatar, though. Much too complicated. And then I wouldn't even recognize my own posts.
Edit: Archon, you could be something Kwanzaa related. Then we'll have all the holidays. ;)

I did it, but it's not very clear. I just Saved the picture in My Pictures, then loaded it in Photobucket and plugged in the link. Do I need to do something different--like modify the format of the pic when I save it?

Maybe go on paint and make all the lines thicker or something,
And turn the background into one solid color, so it isn't all fuzzy and stuff
and crop it so the dradel is centered

I tried cropping it in Paint and taking out the writing. It still looks unclear. I didn't bold the lines or anything--but my hand is too unsteady in paint, I'd end up making it look worse.
Oh well. I guess I'll have a slightly blurry avatar for the Holiday season.

Despite my much protesting, I decided to play around with Paint. So now Dire Dreidel has some thicker lines around the box part of him, bigger fangs, and a black goatee. (And everyone knows a goatee=evil--just see Nale in The Order of the Stick). ;)
Perhaps I will attempt to make him more clear later, but I'm done for now.
