This will be a busy month. Among the activities are a wedding reception, my oldest daughter's birthday, a visit from my sister and younger brother, and oh yeah, we're supposed to have a babyin a couple weeks here

My birthday is on the 24th. What a disturbing near-coincidence.

My dad and my sister's birthdays are a day apart at the end of the month. July 26 and 27, if I remember correctly.

July marks the second-to-last time that I'll have to drive to Cheyenne, Wyoming. For those of you don't know, this is an onerous and distasteful process that I would wish only on my worst enemies (like Tage and EUOL). I've been counting down the requisite drives for four years, and we're almost done.

My wife's family is from Cheyenne, though at this point the only one who lives there is her dad and one brother. That brother is leaving on a Mormon mission in two weeks, so I have to go out for that and then again in two years when he comes back. It's kind of nice, actually: about three years ago I counted out all of the high school graduations and mission talks and such that I'd have to go to, and I've been checking them off as they pass. Being down to two, one of them two years away, is a great relief.
