Title: Pirates of the Burning Sea
Post by: n8sumsion on January 25, 2008, 08:55:08 PM
Anyone picked this up yet? I'm always interested in a good new MMO. I was wondering if this is an alternative to WoW... or should I keep raiding Karazhan for a while longer?

I think the concept looks interesting, if there's enough there to keep you engaged. I loved Sid Meier's Pirates, and I'm wondering if this MMO brings anything more to the table.

I gave up on MMOs a while ago, they're not worth the money or time and none really add anything to the genera.  Outside of ship combat I doubt this does either, but if that is really fun--and easy to get to without a lot of time invested--the game could do well.  But I have a feeling you'll have to put months of work into the game just to get the the unique content.
