Yep you read right, the Power Rangers you and I grew up with are bigots (I came up with these reasons in ECON 2301 when the teacher had to repeat herself for the umpteenth time)!
1. The White Power Ranger leads them, must be white supremest
2. The Black Power Ranger is a black guy with anger management issues.
3. The Yellow Power Ranger is Asian.
4. The Pink Power Ranger is a girly girl.
5. There is no Hispanic Power Ranger and the setting is California. Did they deport him/ her?
6. WHERE IS THE PURPLE POWER RANGER????? I mean, this is California isn't it?
There you have it, Power Rangers are bigots.....

Actually, in the first generation, the leader was the Red Ranger. He was not a Native American, although the actor was from Roswell, New Mexico, so he may have been an alien. Currently works as a paramedic in DC.
Incidentally, the girl who played the yellow Ranger, Thuy Trang, is dead. Car accident back in '01.

The red ranger was leader for about 1 or 2 seasons, then the white ranger (who was formerly the GREEN ranger until he lost his "green powers" or something) became the leader. Also, the black ranger was eventually replaced with a white dude, and the asian was replaced too, though i dont remember her ethnicity. This was later in the show (around the time the white ranger became leader)
Also: I think i watched like way to much power rangers when i was a kid :(

I know the red lead for a while... the green was brainwashed too, then he became the white and took over.

Ya'll are making me feel old. By the time the power rangers came around, I was old enough to go, "this is stupid. Why are we watching it?"

That depends on how old "old enough to say this is stupid" is. I was watching 'em when i was 13 or so with my little brother (who was like 8 at the time)

I still enjoy seeing it from time to time. It makes me smile.
Funny Story::
I remember when I was in Japan we spent a day at a high school and they had some big Power Ranger thing they did. I don't remember why though, but there were people all dressed up and they did a para para dance. xD

This was brought about by a guy watching Power Rangers in my Economics class.... it's overly repetitive due to the idiots in it.
