Fell's new job
« on: November 09, 2004, 02:33:22 AM »
I am leaving my crappy job in scenic Logan to take a much better, much higher-paying job in ugly Utah Valley. I'll miss my house, but since it's 11:30pm right now and I'm still at work, I obviously don't see much of it right now anyway.

I will be the senior writer for a scrapbooking company called Close to My Heart. Really. No, really. I bet I could have put that on the poll and no one would have guessed it was the real answer.

Well, except for the fact that you were talking about it at Bucca di Beppo's.

Hey, let me know if they need freelance artisty-type people such as my husband.

I'm familier with Close to My Heart. They come to my hotel every month to have a scrapbooking party and completely trash the place. In fact, tonight I'm cleaning up the mess they left four days ago.

I'm not sure, but I  think one of the owners is related to my boss, so I'm betting Close to My Heart is a rather laid back environment. My boss is so laid back he's catatonic.

Anyhoo, Congratulations, though I hope you are ready for the geekiness and fanaticism, that is the scrapbooking world.

When I told my boss I was quitting he just sighed and said, "yeah, well, we all know what it's like here." I found that really funny.

Not yet. Or maybe not anymore. Time travel plays havoc with temporal memory.

My new job starts on Wednesday, and I will be staying in Provo Wednesday and Thursday nights this week (probably in Tage and EUOL's basement). Thursday is D&D, which I will be observing but probably not participating in, but Wednesday is wide open--if anyone would like to play some games that night, let's do it.
