Title: Best Dang Guy Movie Ever
Post by: Slant on February 24, 2003, 07:00:03 PM
Okay, what are some films that you would list as being the best dang guy films ever?  You know: films that you watch when your wife has gone away for a few days and you can sit in front of the TV with a beer and a bowl of curl-your-hair-hot chili and celebrate being a bloke?  Some of my nominations include:

1)  Gladiator

2)  The Road Warrior

3)  Conan the Barbarian

4)  The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

5)  Romper Stomper

6)  Taxi Driver

7) Fried Green Tomatoes (KIDDING!!!  just wanted to see if you were paying attention)

How could you forget the Dirty Dozen?  High Noon?  True Grit?

If I may throw in a comedy, I'd have to go with Brain Donors. That was the movie we'd always watch in high school when it was just the guys.

Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, Swingers, Office Space, Big Lebowski, Tombstone, The Outlaw Josie Wales... countless more come to mind, but these are the ones off the top of my head (skipping all the action movies that would fulfil the criteria)

In reply to Mustard, I would like to nominate not only Dirty Dozen, but also Kelly's Heroes.  Truly Donald Sutherland's greatest role.
