I dont think Hoid is a herald, and I guess it does make sense that he wasnt wit at the time

She communicated with the goblet's somewhat intelligent manifestation in the Cognitive realm, which was represented by a bead.
thats really interesting, if everything is represented in the cognitive realm, and the greater the cognitive ability, the greater the representation, so a goblet with little or no intelligence is represented by a bead.  Its interesting, just not particularly important

The drunk guy is actually Shalash, and he got rid of his statue using his Heraldic powers because he thought it would be a good practical joke.  He's not actually speaking in gibberish, just a language unknown to Szeth.
I guess the theory makes a lot of sense, but t seems kind of silly to me, why would a herald be around an Alethi peace treaty? one would think Hoid would recognize him.  The druk guy could be Dalinar, he said that when his brother was killed he was dead drunk

I was under the impression that Shalash was a girl and did not have her safe hand covered, and since that is pornographic in Alethi culture, the statue was hidden from view

I think if he was compelled that strongly, he wouldnt be able to deny anything asked of him by his owner, including suicide or giving up his shardblade, so I dont think his oathstone is anything but a symbol that he will obey

well Kaladin did see a face in the storm, I suppose they could be the physical manifestation of one of the shards, in fact it seems plausible now that I think on it

that screaming could come from the spren going back to mindless pranksters, it certainly implies that the cause of the glowing is the bond with the spren

alright youve convinced me we cant trap all spren, but what about painspren, fearspren and intoxicationspren?  There must be tons of things out there that we can get rid of maybe there is a sociopathspren, or crimespren, we could make a mostly perfect world ;D

Well I dont think learned people normally consider themselves to have a magic superpower, so how would Jasnah have learned of her abilities

55
Oh, it could be Shallan, Jasnah saved her life

Szeth isn't bound by something other than his own values, in the end he almost kills Taravangian, but he held himself back, not because he was compelled to, but because he didn't want to lose what honor he had left

that makes sense, because the visions dont respond to him, so why should it refer to the highprinces?  it could also be refering to the lost order of the Radiants, that might be a bit of a stretch but it is possible

An ultimate quest for truth, that makes sense as Jasnah is a Verisatalian or whatever, and her primary goal in life is to uncover the truth, and Shallan does it only after being an apprentice Verisatalian

I think we should actively try to trap the spren, what if we were able to trap all the bad spren, no deathspren=no death, no rotspren=no rot, because as everybody knows the spren cause the things they are associated to.  In fact lets go for broke and try to trap ALL the spren, then we can experience their properties whenever WE want to, rather than waiting for spren to show up

I dont think Dalinar will let anybody fight with eachother no matter how much they want to, besides who could have saved Kaladins life, maybe it could apply to Adolin...oh I get it, Dalinar is protecting Sadeas from Kaladin, that makes sense, or he could be protecting Szeth from Kaladin
