Why don't I dust one off and send it round.

Okay, so I think SE has seen an early, early version of this from years ago. It's a retelling of the Scottish folk tale The Black Bull of Norroway, a beauty and the beast variation. Since I went to Scotland, I have updated it a little, but it's still REALLY bad. I don't think I've even looked at it for a year. I've skipped around in the writing process and only written the beginning and part of the middle, so this manuscript is so bad. Shall we say the first 2 or 3 chapters? They're short. The whole manuscript right now is only 16 pages, so if that's not too long I'd love you to look at the overall story arch (what there is of it).

What I need is general feedback on what it's looking like so far, whether the dialog is working, whether it's interesting at all.

Augh! I just realized I thoughtlessly double-booked myself. I won't be home tonight until at least 10, and I can't guarantee that because I'm dependent on others for a ride home. I know that last time I got home by 9:30 or 10, so I could still possibly show up, but I definitely won't be able to be there by 9. Can we say 10 again,  and that I might be a little late?  :-[

Ok - I seriously dropped the ball and forgot.  I apologize.  I know it's a pain for you to wait up that late, and even though it wasn;t for me you all were waiting, it makes it kind of moot when no one shows up.  I hope someone else made it in.  I will definitely post comments.

My wife tells me I need a reminder calendar.  I'm getting one.  This stuff happens to me too often.

well, jampaladin and Stacer and I met. It went pretty good, though we did miss your comments.

I haven't written chapter 10, so we won't have that next week. JP is going to be sending round a longish story. From what I understand, it's long enough that we might not want to read a second one. I'm reserving judgement on that until I see it. If it's short enough, I may submit a short short story as well. Look for the email.

this goes down tomorrow folks. Read 'em if you got 'em. Unless I'm really productive today, I'll be sending out a short story for next week. I'll definitely bow out of that if there are other people who want feedback first, since we've already done a lot of my stuff.

I have a short story I'd like to share with everyone. I'll mail it out today, and be around wednesday night for comments. And any comments you want just add them somewhere here.

That's probably a good thing, because it's unlikely that I'll get my chapter done by tomorrow morning, which is when I said I'd try to do it by. I have a talk to give in church on Sunday, so I've been spending my spare time on that. I will still work on the chapter, but I doubt it'll be ready for this coming week. Probably next week.

Err.... what do you mean by tonight and tomorrow? Do you mean the normal day and time, or is there a new day and time?
