Connection problems
« on: June 06, 2006, 04:44:36 PM »
So I've been having a real hard time connecting to TWG today, I couldn't actually get to the site for over an hour and I know Jeffe and SE were having problems.  This isn't the first time since moving servers that this has happened, I had problems (though not as long as todays) throughout last week and into the weekend.

Any one else having similar problems?

That happened to me about 11:00 this morning, too. I came back at noon and it was back up.

I had a real hard time connecting when I used firefox, but when I used explorer I was fine? but maybe it was just the timing because about 20 min later I tried it on firefox again and was fine. that was around 2

I haven't had any problems at all; if you do and I'm on IM, let me know so I can check and see.

Jeffe, Shrain, Sprig and I all had problems at the same time.

Well we are on a shared server on the new hosting plan and due to that we can get some slow load times, since all the hosted websites can affect each others speed in peak hours, but that shouldn't keep us from connecting.

I'm wondering if Tage was dinking around behind the scenes and killed some of the gnomes that draw the website on our computers.

Oh, he replaced the gnomes a long time ago. Enchanted Etch-A-Sketches do it all now. Except when Tage knocks them around in a drunken stupor. I think that's what happened when the forum wouldn't load. Or could it be Satan, what with 6/6/06?

Lord Ruler and Lady Protractor were off on vacation, thus the angles running amok.

Wasn't me. I'm pretty convinced it's just the new host's standard quality of service (i.e. not great). Sorry.
