Title: A Sad Week For Rock 'n Roll
Post by: Mr_Pleasington on September 12, 2003, 04:56:23 PM
First Warren Zevon passed away quietly on Sunday and now The Man in Black slips into the great beyond.

Godspeed, men.   Words can't express how thankful I am for the music you both gave.

This isn't music related, but John Ritter died today as well--he collapsed on the set of his sitcom and died before they got him to the hospital. Some rare, undiagnosed heart condition.

To be honest, I have never and probably never will, listen to Johnny Cash willingly. Likewise for a John Ritter movie (or TV show). Though I'll be the first to recognize that between the two, Cash had buckets more talent in his field than Ritter did in his. Though Ritter finally did do something that made me not think he was a total dink: he's voice of Clifford, the Big Red Dog on the current PBS animated series

John Ritter was also the voice of the hero in Flight of Dragons. How's that for wacky?
