That is the greatest thing I've seen since... well since Spider-Man himself. I sure can't wait now. When does it come out? 2004?

Whats ths story about this time?

They haven't released much of the story info yet.  Just it's not one that's previously been in a comic.

I have also heard that the Lizard (not just Dr. Connors) will be in the new Spiderman as well.  Has anybody else heard this as well?

I heard something like that about a year ago, but I think it was more along the lines of which on will it be.  But I'll say this Venom had better be in the third one!

Venom will not be in the third one. He's under liscence by a different company. 'Course, things could change, but probably not. Which is too bad, because I'd love Venom to be in #3 and then a film version of "Maximum Carnage" for #4. Of course it'd be rated R, but it'd kick some major booty.

Lizard and Doc Ock were what James Cameron wanted for #1 when he was still being considered to write it. I read his story. We can all thank God he wasn't allowed near the project. This is not to say the Lizard won't be in #2. But I've stopped paying attention to rumors and I'll just trust the guys. They've been doing me right so far.

USA today had a big article about this.  You might want to look it up on line.  I don't know comic books, so most of it did make sense.  They did mention the lizard, but I'm not sure if he was in the 'not going to appear' section or the 'going to be there' section.

also another thing that fuled speculation about the lizard is that they mention Doc Conner in the first movie, who as we all know turns into the lizard.

The rumor a few months back was that The Lizard was indeed making an appearance and Doc Connor was going to be played by Bruce Campbell, despite Bruce's presence in the universe as the wrestling announcer.

I hope it ends up being true.

Oh, Bruce Campbell. He needs his own movie, but not a B one like the movie with the skeletons that I can't remember the name of right now.

They used to do that sort of thing in old Star Trek episodes, but I don't think they will in a movie. I wish they would.

Not some B movie...

MD, that's what Bruce Campbell is famous for.  He's made a career out of being one of the best B-movie actors in Hollywood.  That's his thing.

!!!!! MD dosen't know Army of Darkness and Evil dead 2!!!  That's Bruce Cambpbell's call to fame.  I hear by bring a motion that Mistress of Darkness will no longer be allowed to speak of things Bruce "Don't call me Ash" Campbell until she learns and loves things all Bruce.

Also he prefers to produce and direct.  He was one of the producers and directors behind the Hercules TV series and did some Zina as well.  He did have his own TV series that was syndicated for a while from the same production companie, it delt with time traveling swashbucklers/FBI.  Needless to say it didn't last to long.  He's the king of campiness and would probaly hate haveing a standard network sitcom.

I couldn't remember the name of the movie! I'm sorry!

/me says 100 Hail Bruces in penance

(I'd watch AoD except I don't know anyone who has an edited copy of it)

And I didn't mean a sitcom. I meant I'd like to see him star in an adventure movie. But you're right, he probably wouldn't want to do it unless it was campy.

I just think the world needs more Bruce Campbell. That's all I'm trying to say.

Oh c'mon Spriggan. It's like something you would come up with as a teenager. Xena is just so awesome that it should be, I lost my train of thought. I have no idea what I'm trying to say anymore.

Bruce's two TV series of the last decade are

1) The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (Wherein he played a bounty hunter trying to avenge his murdered father against a time travelling criminal from OUR future and along the way invents a lot of modern ideas like drive through windows). This show was amazingly good. I NEED this show on DVD. Yes it was campy, but the writing, the acting, the ideas. Sheer brilliance.

2) Jack of All Trades (Wherein he was a sort of proto-superhero/masked James Bond in 19th(?) century France. He was American, but righted the wrongs of the French government.) This was too campy for my tastes. It's like it tried to feel like AoD or BCJ and instead got Dumb and Dumber. I didn't like it, and I felt embarassed for the great Bruce. I couldn't get into it, so only saw three episodes or so. Maybe I just saw bad ones. It was playing along with some Cleopatra(?) show which was even worse featuring three futuristic super agent girls. Jiggly, but ultimately even worse than Jack of All trades. If I remember right, both shows were 15 min. episodes so ran in the same half-hour block each saturday.

Jack of all trates was the time traveling one I was talking about.  it was an hour long.  Either Bruce's character or the female was from the future.  I forgot about Brisco County Jr., that was good.  Wasn't it a Fox show?

I used to watch Brisco County Jr. on TNT my freshman year. I liked it because it was "Bruce Campbell meets James West" (and I mean the 60s Western, not Will Smith's movie--I like Will Smith, but that movie stank). I wonder if it's still on? Comet was like the coolest horse/sidekick ever.

So, Bruce Campbell has been in Brisco County Jr., Jack of All Trades, Xena, Spiderman, AoD, and ED2. Anything else?

BCJ originally aired on Fox, yes. By the time TNT picked up in was already in syndication. The first season was something like 10 years or so ago. I don't know if TNT still shows it, although I'd be they do occassionally.

Bruce was also in the original Evil Dead (which was a b horror, not nearly as campy, and quite frankly, has some pretty sick scenes in it). The first 5 minutes of ED2 is essentially there to re-write/recap Evil Dead. You get the basic idea, but you miss that there were 2 other people in his group, and 2 hillbillies that they meet up there.

Here's a link (http://www.imdb.com/Name?Campbell,+Bruce+(I)) to his filmography. He's done a lot of stuff, including TV and Video game voices (two video game "sequels" to the evil dead series are notable, as well as appearances in Escape from LA, Congo, and Fargo):

I loved his cameo in The Majestic.  He was the actor who played the hero in the B-movie Jim Carrey writes.  It was a perfect little inside joke.
