This kinda ticks me off,
In Vietnam we used to airlift steaks and home cooked food to just about every front line unit to allow them a chance to get a home cooked meal. Now we have guys living on MRE's for 4 months. Gross. Hell I wish I could send the guys a huge care package of omaha steaks.

Hey, when I was in the Marines we ate stuff so vile that the mess people wouldn't even tell us what it was. I'm pretty sure at least one of our meals was made of the same stuff responsible for sinking Atlantis, though.

Hehe. A while back the guardian commented that the american troops were rather bemused by the habit of the british ones to immediately start boiling some tea the very instant they stopped moving.

I liked the story that most of the marines developed a major nicotine habit and that they did their best killing when they started withdrawl.
And I know all about vile food in the military (im currently in) Im just saying that we could'a got those guys a few steaks and potato's
