Fellfrosch:
Yes, award shows are stupid, and the Grammies are nearly the stupidest, but even so it's surprising how much jank is on this year's list.

The Rock Album category has three excellent choices (Matchbox 20 is also good, but not a contender here), and I doubt I could pick one over the other two, but other than that it's a pretty lame year.

House of Mustard:
Given the context, I assume that 'jank' is a bad thing?

Also, I kind of thought the Evanescence album was pretty so-so (some greast songs, and some pretty bland stuff).  On the other hand, I think that this is Matchbox 20's strongest album yet.

Fellfrosch:
I'm glad you enjoy, since you've had my copy of it for most of the year.

The Holy Saint, Grand High Poobah, Master of Monkeys, Ehlers:
Given the context, I assume that 'greast' is a good thing?

I never pay attention to any award shows, but I'll spare you that rant.

EUOL:
I've got to dissagree.  "Clocks" is on there for Record of the year, and that is a very cool song.  Also, I think the Evanescence CD is one of the best albums I own.  Elephant had some interesting, and unique, songs, and Emenem's single--while not his best--was far from 'jank.'
