Free baseball game!
« on: July 01, 2005, 05:49:14 PM »
Someone at work just gave me free tickets to the Mariners game tomorrow. They're club tickets, too, which is pretty cool, I believe.

Wow, my dad used to take me to Mariner games. Then the Mariners started losing a lot and my dad figured out that I hate baseball.

But club tickets ought to be good seats.

Actually, they're amazing seats. But I don't know who to ask. I've told a couple people and they think it's great, but don't really want to go and/or have other plans, and the Mariners are doing pretty badly. They're playing somebody like some Texas team or something. I dunno. I should call my home teacher and see if he's bored tomorrow afternoon--he's an intern here for the summer and might not have a whole lot going on, and being a boy, might be more likely to be a baseball fan. He's reading EUOL's book right now, so liking fantasy is a point in his favor as an interesting person. :D (In a purely platonic sense--the kid is 22.)

/me looks sheepish

I didn't end up going. I haven't had a Saturday at home in forever, and what with finally getting my stuff, I've been doing laundry and lounging around the house watching movies all day. They were free tickets, so I didn't feel like I missed out, but I did feel bad for letting the tickets go to waste. I offered them to a number of people, and everyone was busy or out of town, so oh well.

Free Saturday nights at home are nothing to scoff at.
