Welcome!
« on: September 07, 2005, 05:56:32 PM »
I just noticed that our newest member is Eric James Stone, who we all met at CascadiaCon. Eric is an excellent writer who you should all get to know. He's been a Writers of the Future finalist twice.

hi eric!
I'm eric too!
but I've only been a finalist once.
which, incidentally, is the number of times I've entered.

Eric is special.  He was a published finalist both times.

He's actually an excellent short story writer.  While I was required during a panel during this con (so I couldn't go to his reading) I have it from various sources that his was the best reading out of the half dozen or so they attended.

Oh, I just welcomed Eric on the thread in EUOL's section where he posted, but welcome again!

Eric is very cool, as witnessed by his willingness to hang out with us at Cascadiacon, even though we're all a little loopy.  (Okay, maybe that's just me.)  He has a story coming out in Orson Scott Card's online magazine (that's right, isn't it?) that is freaking awesome.

I think I disguised my loopiness quite well. It was while stacer and MsFish were asleep and EUOL and CtrlZed were in the hotel that I morphed into a winged creature of doom who wreaked havoc across Seattle by stealing important objects like coffee makers and children's pencil sharpeners and pooper scoopers.

Oh, and welcome to Eric, by the way. I also join the chorus of people who say he is cool. He laughed at my funny stories, which always makes me like people.  :)
