I listened to a bit of it, and I also agree with Dawncawley. His voice is good, but something about the enthusiasm sort of turns me off to what he's saying. 
News:
Max is a Shadowblade, a supernatural--and supernaturally competent--warrior bound to protect her witch Giselle. As a Shadowblade, Max doesn't age. She is better, faster, stronger than any ordinary human being. And she hates it. Giselle betrayed her trust to make Max what she is, and though she is magically compelled to protect Giselle and follow orders, Max works against her witch in every way she can. Ah, hi.
Similarly to Kaelocari, I didn't see a newcomers' thread so I just wanted to post here.
I found Elantris at the school library--and I must say the cover is beautiful--and from the moment I cracked it open I couldn't put it down! A few days I stayed up late reading, and I often read it at seminary before class started. Ahh! It was a wonderful book!
Recently I have been feeling a little discouraged in my own writings; I end up being disappointed in what I have written. So, for a time, I was completely terrified to write. When I found Elantris, all that changed. I gained a determination to be as good of a writer as you! So now, I'm back to writing stories.
I just have to say, thanks--I've been brain dead for so long and now your book has woken me up!
