Title: cable co. woes
Post by: Mad Dr Jeffe on June 24, 2003, 11:03:07 AM
I hate Comcast,... Ever since I got cable modem service I have had problems. The real problem it seems is that I dont get a very strong signal because the line has to travel too far from the cable box. Two days ago while snooping around I discovered that I also share my cable line with the apartment below me.
No one else does in my building.

What this means is that I get disconnected from my cable modem 20 to thirty times a night. If I stay connected at all.

What should I say when I call them up to ball them out.

Act really made at the company and threaten to sue and/or let everyone else in teh whole wide world know how poor their service is. Always works for my family. Especially in hotels - just say you will stand in the foyer and tell everyone coming in how lousy it is, and all of a sudden your room ISN'T doublebooked.

Check to see what your contract with comcast says about shareing the cable modem.  See if they'll change that and if they don't sue them for falure to deliver promsied service.
