On a related note, have you noticed that some writers aren't so hot at reading out loud? I got the audiobook of Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce (which is done by Full Cast Audio, so each character is done by a different actor) and the whole time I was thinking, "Man, this narrator is kind of painful to listen to," and then at the end when they did the credits I realized the narrator was Tamora Pierce. Whoops.
Brandon recommends The Truth as a good introductory book to Discworld.
I used it for a couple years but got out of the habit when I was using a lot of different computer lab computers. Also, people who tried to use my computer would get upset.
