Very good episode (a bit harsh in places--definitely not a family show).  You can watch it on hulu.

We live 1121 miles apart, you know.

That's... alarmingly specific.

Wait, you know Korean?

보시다시피.   ;D  (Actually I have "금강산도 식후경" in vinyl wall words over my kitchen window.)

Otherwise you could do a morphological analysis. Anatopism is to anachronism as topology is to chronology.
It's in the wrong place?  It's the wrong shape?

I watched it online today.  Interesting idea.

The bit where Samuels was saying that the king had withdrawn support from the strike, I thought maybe they were going to say that he'd been trying to get his son killed (à la Serg Vorbarra).

Did you know Eliza Dushku was (or used to be) LDS?

I've watched the first two episodes on hulu (I guess there's a new one now?).  I wasn't immediately captivated but interested enough to stick with it for a bit and see where it goes.

Shards of Honor was published in 1986 and Barrayar in 1991 (it won the Hugo).  The Cordelia's Honor omnibus came out in 1999.

Here's a bit I wrote on my blog a while back:  "Lois McMaster Bujold writes science fiction and fantasy and is best known for her Miles Vorkosigan series, which you could describe as space opera, but very good space opera. The 'science' is mostly social and biological, with a few space battles thrown in for good measure. They're very character-driven, thoughtful, touching, at times very funny. And just so well-written."

Shards of Honor (the first half of the Cordelia's Honor omnibus) is one of my favorite books of all time, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. The end makes me cry every time.

The end of Barrayar is the one that gets me.

Didn't Ten Soon call Sazed the Announcer?  I thought the kandra had the original prophecy.

I liked Homeward Bounders a lot.  Haven't read it for a few years.
