Title: OK, ok, Ok, oK
Post by: ryos on April 03, 2009, 04:58:46 AM
Something's been bugging me lately. What's the "proper, accepted" way to capitalize "OK"? Not that it's a very proper word to begin with, but still, it would be nice not to have to worry about it.

Actually, I always just write it out: "okay". I have no idea whether that's proper or not.

Where's Ookla? He knows everything.

OK or O.K. is the original term (perhaps from "oll korrect"), but the "proper" way nowadays is to spell it okay and only capitalize it at the beginning of the sentence. Otherwise use OK.

Or you could write it out as Oklahoma.
