Mathematical Requirements listed for the job I recently applied for (Intern Server Admin).

Quote
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REQUIRED

Can you do all that?

Wii is the greatest!!

We got one of them, Like Spriggan said, most people don't realize most games can be played while sitting and just require slight flicks, the tennis game does not check for power of swing. only timing. So you can swing super super light and hit it far. OF course others, like baseball, do check your power so it is best to stand.

I am a big fan of Monkey Ball and Zelda right now.. Looking forward to battalion wars.

I think the joy that a pet brings out weighs any sorrow you have at it's loss. IMHO

I am a big pet person, right now we have a Sun Conure that is our little kid. Eventually my wife and I will get two Dobermanns. (Sgt. Striker and some other cool name)

I have to second the cruchy spicy cheetos option. And so long as the subject is out and opinions, solicited or otherwise, are being made I must say that any flavor of Pringles are the snack food of choice when it comes to things that are bad for you. (this opinion excludes a box of dark/milk chocoloate truffles)

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I am probably closer to Jackthemulticolored.  ;D  Supposedly that is better.

Anyway!! I am now an independant Financial Advisor. It is great!

I now have the fantabulous opportunity to catch up on what you all have to say about te Wii and such. I love that system.

Oh... and about the 'learned from being dead' thing, I guess I would say that if you are going to die, and have the option to not, then you probably shouldn't

Some of you may have noticed I dissapeared. I changed careers and was forever in the pit of despair of taking tests and stuff.

Unfortunately, I passed all of them and now I can come back and read all your great posts!!  :)

actually, what I find disturbing about that is how being chaste into your 40's is "bad" according to the article. If the guy's not married, I admire him for his chastity. It even says that those are the guys who are mostly likely to have a healthy sexual relationship once they're married.

I wonder why these people can't see the corellation. Observing the law of chastity makes you a more balanced person. For some reason, they think it's a "problem" they need to "fix" (but the same evidence shows that "fixing" it will worsen another, more valid problem!)

*that's* what's disturbing to me.

Here here.

haha, right, so do I.

I am just saying why you can not use a console for an RTS.

My brother kept trying to nuke me, didn't work.

for obvious reasons.

Ever tried to drop a nuke while the other guy is watching your screen?  :P :)

Anyway, I don't disagree about fps, i prefer a mouse, keyboard and seperate screen, but i think they are fun for a recreational play.

i could not ever get used to rts on cons. maybe a turnbased.

I wonder if those people realize that any children they have will cause me to hate them forever.

Archon brings up a lot of good points, in addition to no keyboard, no mouse; That makes a huge difference.

And while in a first person shooter knowing what a person has and where they are going doesn't get them killed, your lack of skill gets you killed.

where as on a starcraft, as soon as you start building a control tower on your starport, I know you are going to be building battlecruisers and valkeries, it's a given, or else you are wasting your money.

I just start massing goliaths.

It's like playing paper, rock, scissors where as soon as you make your choice, the other player has 1 second to choose after you do.

Those two reasons are the biggest reasons why I never got into them. I rented both (C&C and SC) neither was any good for those reasons. And when I talked to everyone else who played them that was their biggest reason for hating them.

No one wanted to start making anything, because as soon as you do, your opponent starts making counter units. And you can't make a secret base anywhere.

Sad sad sad.

It will be very interesting to see what happens in the near future with BFME2 that was recently released for the Xbox360.

As was command and conquer... what person came up with the idea to put strategy games on a console?

Hmmm, that's a lot of tanks, of south border? ok, I promise not to send my air units down there.
