Western WA and OR constitutes one of 2 temperate rain forests in the world. The other is in New Zealand. So it's not really fair to compare it's weather to other places in the U.S. cause there isn't a place in the U.S. like it.

Now would be a good time to move to WA before the home prices get over-inflated like CA.

Median home value in Seattle is already over $321,000, so it might be too late.

yeah, but the median housing for DC is $369,000+

incidentally, I'm officially dubbing MSNBC "stupid."

Balitmore, Maryland (north of DC) is listed in the "southern" region. While DC itself is in the "northern" region. Dumb.

I don't think MSNBC can be defended on that point. I second officially dubbing MSNBC "stupid" and geographically challenged.

Baltimore and Seattle are still cheaper than San Franscisco at 689,200.

Obviously we are dealing with extremes.

El Paso's is 104,800.  :o

I say we all move to Texas, start up a gated community where you have to play us at Magic and D&D to get in, and . . . well, I haven't thought about it much beyond that.

Ok, but SF isn't a place I've ever planned to try and live.
San Diego, which isn't so great, yeah, but not SF.

I thought we agreed on Montana?  Wasn't it Montana where we were going to start the TLE commune, and all live on a huge ranch, and EUOL would publish bestsellers, and 42 would do the cover design and Brenna would edit them, etc. etc.

Hmm, well I'll look into that in a few years after I've gone back to school and am employable.

That is something that can be fixed, MsExcuse. :) I'm not trying to convince you, just posted it as an option you might want to know about. But if it's something that sounds interesting to you, don't let a little thing like not having written up a resume yet stop you from applying.

If I was done with my undergraduate degree, I would consider it. I'd apply, at least. But, alas, I still have two more classes--and they won't be resolved within 4 to 6 months unless I try to overload myself again, which wouldn't be wise.

Didn't you guys stop doing that like two centuries ago?

We should have, but there are some states who really are lamenting their lack of population, and who, therefore, are still willing to offer land, something they have plenty of, to get population in return.
