WotC doing online short fiction
« on: September 08, 2005, 03:32:46 AM »
Wizard's has a new section where they're doing short stories and novellas based off their game worlds, guess they're also planning on using it to also test reaction to new game worlds/settings with out having to spend much money.  I haven't read anything there, and I probably wont, but I thought some of you might find it interesting.

I think some  of the short stories are to help sell their settings for other media, namely TV and Film.

But I've seen these being posted and have been meaning to read them.

It won't be anything set in the worlds that already have books, like Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance. But it'll be Magic, I believe, and a bunch of worlds like Hecatomb that don't have books.

I doubt I could take Hecatomb fic seriously.  What on earth are  they wanting to do with that?  With a tagline of "destined to be blamed for something".....
