Ya but you cannot expect us to read a dead thread that has nothing to do with Itunes in the name. I rarely read the music thread so I would have never seen that.
-
But it says that thingy in the topic that it has a new post. And doesn't that annoy you so much that you want to check out what that is? I DO!
-
I figured most people checked the "recent posts." Anyway, I'm going to see what it takes ot join in tonight. Even have an mp3 in mind to buy.
-
Cool, which one? I'd like to buy "Dead Man's Party" for the upcoming Halloween party I'm compiling music for.
I follow Gemm's approach, though I never look at RPGs I'm not in, any of Games topics, or Webcomics.

That is what you get for not loving me enough MoD.

A moment of silence, ladies and gentlemen. The world has changed forever.
Now, the next step. Anyone know how I can convert these itunes songs to MP3 format so I can listen to them on my MP3 player?
-
I suggest Goldwave. Awesome program.
-
Don't htey let you download in mp3 already?
-
No, that's the point of itunes. The files all have built-in security protocols so that in order to play the song on a machine that isn't your own, you have to type in a username and password.

I didn't notice your post since i don't check this forum normally. It's boring.
And i manually hunt down every new post using that blue happy symbol. Sometimes i use a single window and go to each forum in turn, from the top down, and then click back to the forum index and go to the next one. Sometimes i open every forum, and then every new thread, in a mass of windows. That takes longer but is more fun.
I'm sure you were all fascinated to hear that.
-
that's what i do
I go to recent posts, if I haven't read the bottom one, i go to the index and open each forum in its own window, then each thread I haven't read in it's new window

they are in ACC(MPEG-4) format because it has a more efficent compression quality but the software lets you burn CD's in MP3 format. I tunes 4 and quicktime are free so its not a big deal.

Is Apple getting soft?
-
no, just smart. There are more PC users than Mac users in the world, so they're opening up their potential customers.
-
Its a really great service I mean they give you the ability to record the song you bought in any format and save it however you want...CD MP3 whatever. The best part is that the quality is guerenteed! Oh and did you see that they have a system set up for mini -gift certificates for kids, Iallowence, so you can put cash in the account (or buy a 20 dollar gift certificate and the kids can get a certain number of downloads a week)
Now I want an IPOD bad, especially with the new stuff from belkin, theres an attachment that lets you record yourself and some other cool stuff.
-
I have an MP3 player, but not an ipod, unfortunately. I hope the other players get into line and give software that lets their players use itunes files.

Ok I downloaded Itunes for windows yesterday, in addition to getting a great catalog of music you also get a fantastic media player, it even managed to clean up the bad stuff I had downloaded off of Kazaa which was a nice side benefit. And for a free mp3 player it comes with all sorts of graphic equalization, and cooperates really well with quicktime. All 9 songs I downloaded sound great and you can listen to a long preview for each one on the store site.
If you end up getting an account you can set it up either as a click and buy or as a shopping cart. Compulsive spenders can set up an allowence on their account limiting the charges per month to a set limit (a nice feature)
And the songs I downloaded
A Cover of Bob Marleys Redemption Song by the Clash's Joe Strummer .99
Every Day is like SUnday -Morrissey .99
A Fistful of Peanuts(clint eastwood) Spacemonkeyz Vs. Gorillas .99
The Modern Age- the Strokes .99
Ultraviolet-U2 .99
The Times they are a Changing-Bob Dylan .99
The man who sold the world (live)- Nirvanna .99
12:51- the Strokes.99
No Woman No Cry- Bob Marley Live at the Lyceum .99
The store has a large selection of books on tape too.
