From the things I've heard, I kind of want to see this movie. However, I avoid Rs with sexual content/nudity, which definitely rules this out. I wonder if it would lose much coming from Cleanflicks.

It'll be hard to find in Utah, it got pulled from Jordan Commons due to they didn't think it would make enough money.

What I've heard is that it's a depressing movie not because it's two lovers that can't be together but because it's basically a husband cheating on his wife and the movie shows how that hurts the wife.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Somehow I don't see a cleanflicks version of this one happening.

You'd be surprised. Popular movies that BYU students can't really see anywhere else is their bread and butter.

They did both Kill Bills, which surprised the heck out of me. So who knows.

I just know there are some films where sex is crucial to the plot that they don't do ("Liar Liar") is an example. I would expect Cleanflicks to havea rpblem with the sunject matter no matter what was cut. Espcially now that this film has become such a hot button issue in Utah.

I also would like to see this at some point.  Can't see the husband wanting to watch it with me though, will proabably have to find a girlfriend.

I see this being a problem for a lot of guys. I was thinking of selling T-shirts for that say "I'm not gay, I just like art films."

LoL.  My husband went  to a very liberal arts college and has watched his share of art films. I think it's not the homosexuality that would prevent him from enjoying it, but the fact that it's a romance film.

I'm not sure what I think about this movie.

When I saw Rent on opening day there was a trailer for this movie, and the entire audience started making disgusted noises and actually booed.  I would think that the target audiences would be about the same--so if that audience seemed upset about it and made fun of it during the next three trailers, I think maybe someone messed up.

Well,  it has one almost every single Best Picture award so far, so that evens things out a bit.

This is yet another movie that will recieve critical praise yet, will only be seen by a few. Then it will go on to be required viewing by jaded professors who are offended that people are offended by this film.

Why?
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)
