Starcraft Ghost, is it cancelled?
« on: April 05, 2006, 01:06:14 PM »
I was on Bizzards site, they no longer have Ghost as a current project.

On a side note I also noticed they re hiring for a programmer to help create a computer game that has not been announced.

I'm a big Blizzard fan, so I am interested to see what it will be.  Starcraft 2, or Diablo 3?  Hmm...

It was canceled a few weeks ago.

Most people believe that the new game is Diable 3, we'll probably know for sure in May.

Are there any links to the official cancellation? It's amazing that they'd spend so much time on it and then just ditch it.

Eh.. I am not that surprised.. it was pushed back so many times that I really don't care anymore. I can wait till Starcraft 2 comes out....sometime in 2010.   :P

I'd heard it was in nearly complete status at E3?

They threw a huge party for it, with sample play and booth babes dressed as Nova and the whole deal. Are you sure the cancellation was official?

Only the current-gen console version has been cancelled. The game as a whole has been "indefinitely postponed." However, Warcraft Adventures was also indefinitely postponed, but it evolved and played a part in the Warcraft series. I doubt they've given up on Nova.

According to gamespot there never was "next gen" versions of the game, Blizzard told them that was an error on the leaflet that came with WoW.

As far as "indefinitely postponed" that's just spin for canceled, and  as far as WoW and Warcraft adventures have as much to do with each other a monkey island and Everquest do.
