Title: anyone read Charlie Stross ?

I like his blog and noticed that Paul Krugman (nobel winning economist) is a big fan. Where does he fall on the dark/light scale? Do people here like him?

I've read the first three books in The Merchant Princes series. They aren't too bad, and are nice for some light wind-down reading.

I quite liked Singularity Sky and its sequel Iron Sunrise. I would recommend them as long as you don't mind the f-word.

Stross said he is writing a romance novel due to the economics of sci-fi. this is pretty interesting.
