Naturally, there's something to it. Guys want to be knights, when it comes down to it. It's the Quijote complex. You can't be a knight if there's a guy being a jerk right there and you don't straighten him out.

Amusingly, in my wednesday group, the player who makes the most lewd jokes and is potentially disruptive because of it is the wife of the GM. She flirts outrageously with most of the NPC's, so having her husband the GM probably helps with that ;)

She never shuts up though. Even when her character isn't there...

Very heavy-duty column, MsFish. I agree, those guys couldn't call themselves knights if they didn't come to the rescue of the DID. But it seems like they took their sweet time, really. Makes me mad that they didn't cross swords with the guy much, much quicker...  >:(

At which point you'd probably have been whinging that they were just trying to look good in front of a girl. :P

Nah, not me. Can't speak for MsFish, of course.

Personally, I'd just be happy to avoid some needless, crass harassment, no matter the ulterior motives of my rescuers. Some guys open doors for girls because they want to, others just feel obligated or hope to make a good impression. Imo, the door's been opened either way, and I appreciate that.

That's so the guy can fart before getting on without the woman smelling it.

Oh that helps, but it just follows you anyways.
It's really in case the elevator isnt there... apparently that used to be a big problem. :D

That is completely ridiculous.  [Several expletives here.]

*sigh* Okay, so I've obviously ticked you off again, without meaning to in the least. :P [Insert colorful language of my own about how, apparently and much to my surprise, gargoyles are natural enemies of fish] Really, I was being a bit facetious in the comment that you're objecting to.

Yes, I wondered why the guys didn't do a little more than just glare or make laughing comments about your obvious avoidance of the guy's character during the actual game. BUT mainly this was just my frustration for your situation spilling over into exaggerated indignation. So I couldn't resist bagging on the Quijote wannabes a little.

If that makes me "ridiculous" somehow, shoot. Oh, well.  Is it because you don't think they could've acted any other way given the circumstances? Or that you didn't expect them to do any differently? If that's the case, I can understand your response. I mean, they didn't know you, after all. Anyhow, take it as you will, but I wasn't trying to be annoying or insulting, MsFish.

We appear to have made first contact with a new species. One without a shift key.
