Rants and Stuff / Re: Revenge of Grumpy Bear
« on: December 27, 2008, 09:22:44 PM »
i actually had to shovel my roof. the snow is so stinkin deep here if i didn't it might colapse my house. it was waist deep in some spots and when i had to do my garage i had to push it towards my house and then shovel it again. i cant go out in my yard because its knee deep in any given spot. I'm not usually a big fan of winter but this really really sucks.
now I'm at my in-laws for the weekend and it sooooo hot in the house. it was eighty three degres in the house yesterday and my mother in law was chewing out my father in law because he let the fire go out. grrrrr ill never understand why old people keep houses soooooooo hot.

Movies and TV / Re: Heroes: Season 3 *SPOILERS*

the way i see it sylar should be dead for good, with the spike in his head and getting burned up in the fire and all. it seems like such a bad way to kill him off though so i think we will see him again. this is the first time since the season began that i couldn't wait for the next episode, up until now Ive been disappointed in the season as a whole. I'm really glad to see peter got his powers back and i really think its dumb how Nathan keeps changing personalities.

Suggestions Box / Re: Education?
« on: December 03, 2008, 10:29:44 PM »
I graduated from a technical college with an associates in automotive technology. I have worked at a dealership for just under ten years and have received training at G.M. service technical college.  I'm not sure if the G.M. training counts as formal education but i have spent literally hundreds of hours in the classroom and doing hands on training and testing. i also received world class technician status because of my training and testing. So while i would not consider myself an intellectual i have had lots of classroom time.

Books / Re: What are you reading, part 3

at the moment I'm reading Elminster in hell. its not so good. i used to like ed greenwoods stuff but its been a while since i read anything of his so i thought i would pick it up. i just don't really like it, it jumps around too much from memories to reality back to Elminster its almost too much work to figure out where the story is headed at the time.

I'm a tech at a Chevy dealer. I suppose I'm one of those rare people that really likes their job. i really couldn't imagine myself doing anything else. The thing i really hate the most though is people, I'm not a people person. I just feel like saying I don't want to talk to you ,I don't want to look at you, just get out of my area and let me work on your car. But of course i cant i just put on a smile and tell them ya its OK for you to be here watching me, why wouldn't it be?

Books / Re: Has Anybody Read any of Ted Dekker's Books?

Three the movie was horrible to say the least. it really bugs me that contemporary christian movies are sub par at best. the book was awesome but after watching the movie i was very disappointed.
if you have only read black then you have only touched the surface of ted dekker. i really thought that black, red, and white, were really good. i thought house was excellent, and saint and skin were some of his better books. i really didn't like his martyrs song trilogy it just wasn't my bag i guess. as a whole i think ted is a very good writer who is equal to or better than many mainstream writers out there.

Books / Re: Best book you've ever read...

The three musketeers is a good book don't get me wrong but in the continuations its easy to get bogged down. the Comte de bragalone really took me a while, the first 100 pages were great but after that i couldn't wait for it to be over.  if your really into sword fighting classics try Rafael Sabatini. I can vouch for captain blood, or Scaramouche, either is a very good read. I also loved Ivan Hoe by Sir Walter Scott. If i run out of books to read, I read Sherlock homes stories you just cant beat a who dun it story.

I can see this guy is a huge problem, I think it is hilarious listening to all the insults people are dishing out. this guy makes the most stupid insulting comments I think I have ever heard on a forum but the best way of making him go away is to just ignore him. im sure we can all tell its his topic before we even open it no matter what name he uses so maby if we just leave him alone he will go away. I guess its like they say arguing over the internet is like running in the special Olympics, no matter who wins your still retarded.

Everything Else / Re: Sword Fighting Prowess
« on: September 12, 2008, 05:34:44 PM »
asking who would win in a sword fight between rand and LAN is like asking who would win in a real fight between segal and vandam.  the answer to this one is chuck Norris. in sword fighting terms that's drizzt do'urden. with drizzt's skill and speed with two blades he would win every time in a fight with rand or LAN. also he doesn't always use the magic of his blades very rarely does this come into play, he doesn't even always use his anklets take his last  battle with enteri for instance. he won fair and square with no magic.

A Clue, or one of these storehouses Elend has been raiding (or both). Notice that I distinctly exclude the possibility of the atium stash being there. This is because, narratively, it wouldn't work. There's a year between MB2 and 3. I'm sure Elend or Vin would've investigated Statlin City in that amount of time. Thus, if they investigated it and found what was there, it would all be off-screen. The atium stash is too big of a plot point to happen off-screen. Thus, it's more likely it's a clue. Or a storehouse. Or both.

i always kind of assumed all the atium went into the well. thats where it got all of its power.
