Reading Excuses / Re: Email List + Submission Dates

It would probably be better to make people respond to stay on the list.  Gets rid of unused email accounts.

My parents live in Alpine, so maybe I'll have to jump in a session or two next time I go visit.

Can it be?  Have we really found someone who doesn't believe the government lies to us? :P

I don't mind being a beggar, I hear they make quite a bit of money.  The fleas, however, not looking forward to that.

Everything Else / Twitter Accounts
« on: August 08, 2009, 07:53:51 AM »
I figured I would collect a list of Twitter accounts that would interest people in these forums.  (Because cyber-stalking is fun!)  Obviously I don't know that many yet, so suggest more/add your own!  I'll update the list as I see them.

I don't like these titles... I used to be wealthy and important... now look at me!

And Champion Kaz, if I ever see you in a Sailor Moon outfit, you'll officially be on my ignore list!  Silk may be able to pull it off.

Worried that you'll never get published?  Well, have a look at what you're competing against, and you should feel better.

Check out Moon People by Dale M. Courtney.  Amazon Link

Feel free to read the first page and see what you think.

Or read the Authors synopsis of his work

Finally, you can Amazon Reviews about the book.

Enjoy!

Note: There is discussion that the publisher ruined this book, but if so, it's just a great example of how the author needs to ensure he knows what his publisher is releasing.

I was a Guide in EQ1, have a few lvl 80's on WoW, beta tested LotRO, and Warhammer Online...  I think they were all fun and they each had their own good points.  All in all, as long as they had people I enjoyed playing with, I enjoyed them.  They all have the same major problem though:  In order to make people happy (and get them to keep paying) you need to make a endgame system that forces people to play.  I used to do the 'second-job' raid schedule to get the best gear... and now, that's what pushes me away.  Now, I play to get to the level, just to see what's new, and then I quit.  Now, I refuse to raid/grind.

I only read manga if I can get it in Japanese... but I haven't read any of the ones on your list, so I'm curious about this as well.

Fellfrosch:  Wouldn't it be easier to find crying orphans up near your area, with the serial killer around and all?

I thought all struggling artists were broke.  When you're broke, you tend to stay home.  Wouldn't they be having more sex?  It is free, after all.  Well, usually...

You had a good thing going for you and now you're going to throw it all away, eh?  (j/k)

Honestly, congratulations!
