THis fills me with tingly feelings.
Anyone read it? If nothing else, Gemm should like the author.

I've read it, and it was cool but overall kind of disappointing: the story he tells is never as cool as the core concept (Marvel heroes in the past!) that he uses to tell it. It's worth a read, especially if you like Elseworld-style books, but don't go expecting a Gaiman masterpiece.

I own it, have so for some time. I actually like it, but it does kind of fizzle at points. Most of the fun is trying to figure out who is suppose to be who. I personally would have axed the Fantastic Four from the plot.

It was good upto the last chapter or so, the ending was too forced in my opinion.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

I agree, the last chapter should have been expanded to at least two chapters. I just resolves too quickly.

Ya, really. Get with the times SE. I've had this thing since about november or december. Sheesh.

But I do agree. Not one of Gaiman's greatest works, but the artwork is rather well done. Other than that the story isn't all that strong and at times seems forced and weak.

The start is really cool, too bad he doesn't keep that same mystique throughout.

ok, the little boy who thinks he's a They Might Be Giants fan and hadn't heard flood until about a year and a half ago is *not* allowed to tell anyone to "get with the times"

Hey, hey. Hey. No. No. Not cool.

Until you start buying and reading comics again you be quiet. =P And thats not even fair to say. Just because it takes someone else a little longer to figure everything out about someone doesn't make them any less of a fan. Are you going to any TMBG concerts this summer? What's that? I know I'll be traveling to Philly just to see them. Totally free too. Maybe you and Jeffe should join me, or just be square.

I bought three graphic novels last week. I'm not saying you don't like TMBG, I'm just saying you have no room to speak of for "getting with the times"

Yes, but I own this book and I rarely get to buy comic books. In fact, I dream of the day when I can make a permenent part of my budget dedicated to buying comics and rpg books.

I guarantee you have more disposable income than I do if you have income at all. My disposable income amounts to.... less than $0
