Interesting news. I'm not thrilled about the CG/puppet mix, but I could be convinced.
-
yeah, the mix is a bit disappointing. But I'll definitely give this one a shot. I loved the first.
-
Oh, that is cool.
With the Jim Henson Co. behind it I don't think they'll make a film that looks stupid and I love the work that Tartakovsky has done, Jack, Dexter etc...
Now I'm all excited.
-
I agree, in the hands of lesser men, a puppet/CGI mix could be disastrous. But Tartakovsky has repeatedly proven that he can make weird stylistic things work; and not just work, shine like gold. I'm very excited by this news.

Well, lest we forget:

But I think Tartakovsky will make better use of the Co. resources.

Well that doesn't prove anything, Muppet Oz didn't look stupid it just was stupid (with the exception of the Witch, piggy, being a hells angle biker) and there's a difference there.

I have a feeling that Dark Crystal 2 won't have Kermit and Miss Piggy in it. I could be wrong, but the Co. has gone way beyond just the Muppets.
-
Also, given that Dark Crystal 1 didn't have any muppets in it, it seems like a safe bet.
-
It had muppets, just not "the" muppets.
We're doing a dark crystal manga...
-
"Hells' angle"? Is this when mathematicians go bad?
-
Sigyn, your avatar so totally rocks.
-
No kidding, that's awesome.
-
Ha ha ha!
(be sure to view in its own window so you can see it widescreen!!!)

That's almost as good as the 30 seconds with bunnies version.
