Stealth and Outwit is one of the most popular combinations in the game, with figures like Black Panther, Batman, and even Danger Girl becoming far more useful than they would otherwise be--you just park your figure in a bush and disrupt the enemy with virtual impunity. The Superman Ally/Ultimates team ability is one of the very best ways of shutting this down: you can see stealthed characters, which lets you shoot them or outwit their outwit.

You want another way to deal with outwit? How about this new feat card in DC Legacy:

I'd also like to point out that the next feat in line, Stunning Blow, is the coolest one I've ever heard of. And Lazarus Pit is just nuts.

Lazarus Pit: it's about time. What with Ra's Al Ghul being the villain in the Batman movie coming in 6 months.

I don't even know who Ra's Al Ghul is. Though I gather that he has a Lazarus Pit.

He's a crazy guy who's immortal thanks to this Lazarus Pit ritual. It resurrects him and he's so crazy that he always kills a guy or two when he comes out. He's crazy rich and lives in remote places in the world.

He also has a sexy, sexy daughter that loves Batman. He calls bats "the Detective" and thinks he's the only one worthy (through brains and brawn) enough to marry his daughter. Bats, of course, likes the chick, who helps him out occassionally so isn't PURE evil, but is never going to marry into that batcrap crazy family.

All that changed of course after Bane broke out of jail, broke his addiction, and became even scarier than he was all hopped up on that drug. He's now teamed up with the Ra's Al Ghul team.

Of course, that won't work out that way since Joel Schumacher did a marvellous job of screwing over half the decent Batman villains.

You know, I completely forgot about the feat stuff.  There's a Marvel Battlefield condition called white noise that makes anyone using outwit or perplex roll a die, whith a 50/50 chance of failing.  Failed roll=no outwit/perplex that turn.

There's an error in your article Kije.  Team abilites can be outwitted.

Actually, they can't. Read the paragraph about team abilities in the Universe rulebook (bottom of page 12, top of page 13). I searched the most recent FAQs to see if they've changed that rule, but couldn't find anything. Team abilities can't be outwitted.

Well whoever makes the monthly FAQs might want to talk to the head judge, either to set him straight or get his 8-month-old ruling into the official rules. Between now and then, I don't believe you.

Outwit requires line of sight/fire.

A stealthed character can never be outwitted. Even if the one doing the outwitting is base to base with the stealth figure, he still does not have line of sight/fire.
