Max is a Shadowblade, a supernatural--and supernaturally competent--warrior bound to protect her witch Giselle. As a Shadowblade, Max doesn't age. She is better, faster, stronger than any ordinary human being. And she hates it. I like the whole sentient idea. But I think it would be cool if Hoid somehow "knew" Adonalsium or of it's power or something of the like. And he's planet hopping trying to put it all together to have magnificent awesomeness ensue.
Kind of like Kagome and Inuyasha searching for Shards of the Shikon Jewel, perhaps?
There are three confirmed shards and their names. He told the fans that stuck around at one of the signings about the shard that will be in WoK. And since I'm not sure if it is okay or not to share, I won't say what the shard is, or what attribute is attached to it, but I feel safe in saying that Brandon said it is the most dangerous shard we will meet. (Or at the very least have met so far. We are of two minds about which it is.)
Finally got around to finishing a piece I had started months ago. Not a literal scene from the book, but I think it captured the feeling I wanted pretty well. So here's Vin in her shirt and trousers before she got a Mistcloak , with a creepy Inquistor stalking her. I also decided to go with more of the amber colored night time from the ashfall, rather than the blue I had been using lately.

I'm sure this has probably been asked already, but what happens when Gateway meets Cuendillar (I think I spelled that right...)?
Many people think it's better to read New Spring in the order it was written—after Crossroads of Twilight and before Knife of Dreams. Otherwise some of the character development in the series will seem a bit overshadowed.
