Title: Mistborn Cover Quote
Post by: EUOL on April 12, 2006, 01:48:20 AM
"Mistborn utilizes a well thought out system of magic.  It also has a great cast of believable characters, a plausible world, an intriguing political system, and despite being the first book of The Final Empire, a very satisfying ending.  In short, it's one of those great kettle books, in which the author has thrown not merely a bone of an idea and a few potatoes of originality, but half a cow and everything in the garden.  And then added seasonings. Highly recommended to anyone hungry for a good read."

--Robin Hobb

That last line, "Highly recommended to anyone hungry for a good read" will look great on the front of a jacket.

I have to say, I'm so humbled that people not only take time to read my book, but to say nice things about it.  I can only imagine how busy someone like Robin Hobb must be.

Anyway, I feel incredibly lucky.  Two of my favorite authors--perhaps my two very favorite authors--have quoted my first two books.

Very nice quote--you're right.  It will look great.  Did you talk with Hobb, or just correspond via email?

Wow. Robin Hobb herself. Snazzy.

I met her at World Fantasy, as you know, and after that it was via email.  I'm sure glad that you guys and Dave talked me into going last year!

As I recall you were the one who talked me into going, but then again, you're probably referring to someone else when you say "you guys."

"you guys" is EUOL referring to the lawn gnomes that manage his creative empire.
