So, Star Wars is finally going to move in on the Star Trek territory? Hopefully with better ignorance than Enterprise or The Star Wars Christmas Special. I feel like laughing at one of my favorite genres a little more.

Where did you hear about Kevin Smith being involved? Lucas is directing the show for the first year.

All over the WoTC Star Wars board, people that went to C3 said Kevin Smith himself said he was.  They also said, from the Q&A they were at, that Lucas was going to help write them and one whole season would written at a time then, once done, filmed at the same time.  Of course nothing is concrete but supposedly this was a rumor that has been buzzing around the SW community for several months now and they said it was confirmed at C3.

I think that's the only thing I didn't overhear at C3.

No one actualy said where in E3 they heard it, but they were pretty confident.  I'll be happy if Kevin Smith is directing it, but there has been no offical announcments on who is directing yet.

They mentioned the possibiliy of it focusing on a minor character from Ep2 & 3.
But for you spoiler-free (ep3) folk I won't say who.

You are both correct. That was the rumored character and it will not be her :)
