Title: Proofing the site
Post by: stacer on June 18, 2004, 05:33:19 PM
For example, I'm sure the review posted today is by EUOL, not my EUOL. I've nudged a few people, but I think Tage is the person to nudge. Perhaps while you're out there, SE, you could poke him? (As far as admin access so I don't have to point out every single typo via email.) Thanks.

I've mentioned this typo a million times, but it's still there:  under the 'Other' category is the heading: bordgames.

Well, profiling the site.... err... so it says Proofing... Why was I reading it Profiling? I feel.... gone.

*sigh*
This is what we get when we let Sprig make index pages. Thanks Rob.

I also corrected the news blurb. Thanks Stacer.

lol.  That's what I get for copy and pasting my news blurb....  Tage fixed the typo in my article--but didn't get the exact same mistake below it on JP's.

I fixed it.

Wow so it only took Tage what, like 1 year of bugging to change the boardgame typo?  That's comforting....I think.

I don't think I ever bugged Tage about it.  I've mentioned it to Fell and a few others.  I don't remember.

No, it's been mentioned by you, me, entropy, JP and others in several other threads asking Fell or Tage to change it.

Um, I think you missed my point. Fell asked me to help proof/edit articles. But it's highly inconvenient to have to email someone to point out every little typo. Those I pointed out are just the tip of the iceberg. Is mod access possible, Tage?

Excuse me, for I must celebrate and create merryment! The Othe rpage typos have been corrected at last!

The boardgames typo in this thread was the first time I'd ever heard of it. Believe me. If you, even for a second, think otherwise, you're obviously forgetting my freakishly obsessive compulsive personality.

Congratulations stacer, you're now a global mod. Please don't erase any articles or anything.

Now, shouldn't I see something like a link for editing an article or something when I'm on a page? Or is there something else I need to do? I'm not really quite sure what I'm doing.

Aha, stacer isn't your original username. That explains it. Okay, try it again.
