Classic TWG
« on: September 17, 2004, 09:51:19 AM »
Heh, the things you find on the net.  Webarchive.org takes photos of sites and store them, and they've got some TWG!

Here we go with July 2001
http://web.archive.org/web/20010720190749/http://www.timewastersguide.com/

A very poor shot of the next version of TWG Sept 2001

http://web.archive.org/web/20011024154148/www.timewastersguide.com/news.htm

So lets shoot to may of 2002 and another version.

After that we have the current version.

Here you can see the whole archive.

EDIT: Guess the BB tags and the URLs didn't like each other so I removes all the tags.

Haha, wow, what a trip. It's a little amazing to me how long TWG has been around.

Wasn't the original TWG green?  I don't remember it being black.

There was also, very breifly, a gray version with a bright blue header on an embossed oval I made in photoshop. That was when I realized we needed an art director.

I remember those different design stages now. The nostalgia.

Man, this set up if INFINATELY superior to those ones.  A lot of them gave me a headache just staying there too long...

Just remember: if you like the site's current look, you have 42 to thank. He did a great job that was, as you can see, sorely needed.

I liked that first one. From July 2001. Very noir look.

Wow, I'm almost positive that I came to TWG before this design, because 42 told me about it, but I can't remember those old designs. Funny.

here's another link where it just lists every page in their archive.  There's over 4000 pages of TWG stored there.
