*shakes his prune juice at the young whippersnappers*

Back in my day, we just had Prince of Persia on an Apple II, with a monochrome monitor, and we liked it!

Ah the memories.

I also played the sequel on the PC about 13 years ago.  It's amazing where gaming has gone since then!

Wow!  Those are some great t-shirts.  I guess I need to check out thinkgeek.com's clothing section more often.  Thanks for the links.

Holy crap!  I've only been away from the boards for less than a day, and there's 18 pages of stuff to skim!

So how many levels did people get over the past 12 hours or so? ;)

Congrats to all of the other winners.  Raethe, I thought you were joking when you said this late on November 29th:

That doesn't mean I'm not still writing. Only 27695 words to go!

Amazing!  I thought I was doing pretty good with a 6K output one day!  Oh, and thanks for the reminder, Necrobells.  I am looking forward to having a proof copy of my NaNo novel, even if most of the contents are crap. :)

I was a Dark Elf player (including their lame SF cousins, the Dark Eldar), though I also had a Space Wolf army. Then my children learned to walk, and I started playing Heroclix and its ilk: anything with durable, pre-painted plastic.

With kids walking, definite emphasis on the durable!

I should probably go educate myself in hermitism....

That may prove difficult.  Where are you going to find a teacher? ;)

I have a BS and MS (that's more of the same ;)) in Computer Science from BYU.  Of course, I've learned a lot more in the past nine years of employment.  Learning never ends, or at least it shouldn't.

Congrats!  I am now finding that the issue now is staying focused so I continue to write... I'm starting to fall back into bad habits.

I hear you there.  Just earlier this evening, my wife asked me if I planned on actually finishing my story. :)

Disney Animation went though a bad period. Once Disney got rid of Eisner as CEO, they were able to buy Pixar and merge Pixar with Disney animation studios. All the Pixar heads became the bosses at the newly reformed Disney Studios and revived 2D hand drawn animation. The previous heads had lacked vision, while the Pixar heads are full of vision, and talent. I for one am really looking forward to Bolt, coming out shortly.

That's right, I remember now.  Thanks for jogging my memory.  Eisner really put Disney in a bad way.  As I recall, once he was gone, Disney couldn't fall over themselves fast enough to patch up relations with Pixar.  A very wise move.

I made it!  I finished enough to reach the goal this morning, and was able to confirm it on the NaNo site tonight.  51,637 is my official word count, and that may go slightly higher if I actually complete the novel tonight or tomorrow (I've still got two or three chapters left).

Good luck to everyone else that is working overtime to finish up.  You can do it!

Yes indeed.  I had a friend in college that said I needed someone to follow me around with a drum set. ;)
