well its official in the motherland, and soon to be official here, St. Patricks day is here. So drive the snakes out of your country and say hi to all yer irish friends.

First, who's Nate? Second, my bad, Patty isn't until wednesday. I thought it was wednesday. My super-bad. And thirthly, I'm not out with my roommate beacuse by the time I got back from the newspaper office he wasn't here. Nor were any of my other friends.

Names Zak. At least I can add "Nate" to my list of "Names I've been called other than my actual name." Funny thing about that is I know usually know when people are asking for me but not using my actual name.
And wtbutt is a LOJACK? Well, my lady friends have returned from wherever they were. My roommate on the other hand is somewhere where I don't really care.

They can wear skirts.

Good point. I have a green skirt. Perhaps I should wear that and make a point of telling people I'm not wearing pants in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

Never occurred to me before now, but my husband and I drink a lot of DnL, which is quite green.

The Good People were unpredictable, and were known to steal people away - especially children - who enticed fairy folk by wearing too much of their favorite color.
Better to wear blue, the original color assigned to St. Patricks. St. Patrick's blue can be seen on ancient Irish flags and on the uniforms the Irish special forces wear to this day."

Also usually ignored is that Green is for Catholics, while Protestants wear orange. (So what do Mormons wear?)

Men: White short-sleeved shirts that are slightly the wrong size.
Women: Floral print dresses that are about five years out of style.

Sounds like something American immigrants would start, moving to the New World and saying "Ha! The fairy folk aint gonna steal our babbies here! Let's wear lots of green!"
I always figured it was a connection to red hair, because redheads tend to look good in green.

Hrm. Maybe i shoulda rang my irish relatives and stuff.
My irish quarter was possibly interested in this, but was most likely aiding my scottish parts in getting irritated and stressed at work.
Oh and i think you guys really should start saying 'trousers'. It really throws me for a loop when you say 'no pants today'.

I wore my skirt today, so no trousers for me.

I'm wearing my trousers that are far too big for me ans so fall down a lot and spend mor time around my ankles than where they should be, does that count at least partially?
