CtrlZed may be coming--we pretty much convinced him last night at our Tuesday Night Club. You don't know him really well, Stacer, but he's cool.

Driving in my car, because even though EUOL's new convertible is pretty spiffy it is only a two-seater and has zero trunk space.

I guess we could take CtrlZed's car. And we may end up having to take two cars--it depends on if we have to drive anyone else and how much luggage we have. Hmm. That means I'll have to pack light!  :P  jk  ;)

Well, I officially have a room at the hotel right next to the con hotel for $54 a night.

Isaac and I are registered to stay there right now.  We wouldn't mind more people, however.  (There are two beds in the room.)  With four people in that room, the cost would be getting down to about $15 a person per night.  Not too shabby.

I can't remember who is coming.  Gemm and Ookla both backed out, right?  But, with a room this cheap, you might be able to afford it....

Wow, that's really cheap, split four ways. Just so you know, I thought that it was downtown when we were first talking about this (which is just a few minutes from my house), but I've since discovered that it's actually down by the airport, which is about 25 minutes from my place (closer to my work, actually). If that changes anyone's desire to stay at my place, I understand, but you're still welcome to stay at my place for free rather than pay for a hotel room, however cheap.

The only reason I'd go is so I could stand outside of Nintendo cooperate headquarters and when ever someone leaves the building say "I like your games".

For me the expense was only a small part of it. I've just got too much going on for it. I'm sure if I went I would enjoy myself a lot. I have never regretted any of the cons I've been to with you all before. But I feel good about my decision not to go to this one, and don't you try to convince me!!

Next year I hope a lot of people come to Anaheim though, because it has great potential for awesomeness... I'll try to see if TOKYOPOP can have some kind of presence as well...

Stacer, if you don't mind having me, I don't mind the commute. I don't really have the money for a hotel, even very cheap. $15 a night adds up when it's five or six nights--any expenses I can cut I would like to. We should also think about cooking some meals together, rather than eating out every night.

I guess there will be some gas expenses, traveling from your house to the con. But my car gets good gas mileage, so I think that's still the best option.

No problem--I don't mind. And what we did last year was have a dinner and movie at my place on Sunday night, which I think would be fun to do again. And carpooling to the convention saves gas--probably wouldn't be more than $30 for nearly a week's worth of gas for commuting, split however many ways.
