Title: Out of the pre-heated oven and into the freezer
Post by: Gemm: Rock & Roll Star; Born to Rock on March 11, 2005, 12:45:58 AM
Sigh... duck.

So, I'm back home now. But all in all I did have a fun time with everyone. Shame on Sprig for not coming over Wednesday night. Thanks Tage/EUOL(/Earl/Micah) for the living quarters. Thank you Fell for showing me the Salt Lake, south or north or wherever it was.

Fish, Old One, it was nice to briefly meet you. Hope I didn't escalate your opinion of me too much. =P

42, definite thanks for taking me to the BYU Art Gallery that afternoon. That was rather cool. I suggest everyone else around there go see it as well. Really cool stuff.

All in all I had fun. I enjoyed meeting the other people of your ward(s), etc. Hmmm, trying to insert a witty joke about one of you Mormon fellows sending me information about the church now, but it doesn't come to mind. So=P

You didn't say enough in that brief amount of time to have lowered my opinion of you, Gemm. :)

Well, it needn't be a joke! (And I'm serious...)

I would have been at least midly interested in meeting you, but I won't be in Utah until the end of the month...

My question for everyone else is: is Gemm as entertaining in person as online? >_> Doesn't seem humanly possible...

He's actually not what I expected.  He's rather thoughtful and reserved.  Entertaining, yes, but in a quiet sort of way.

Yes, he is more quiet in person than online, but still very entertaining. He's also shorter than I expected.

Jeffe and I are still trying to get him to come down for TWG East Gaming Day.

He lives in Upstate NY right?  That wouldn't be too far, especially with all the public transportation you have in that area.  Heck he probaly could take Greyhound for like $50 and save him the hassle of driveing.

I'm sorry I missed you Gemm, you just came down at the wrong times for me.  I can rarely do things in the weekdays.

You've still not explained your absence wednesday Spriggan. =P

But yeah, EUOL pretty much got it. And Old One, I believe I did that on purpose; subconciously. And =P to you 42. You're just taller than I expected. So bleh.

As for you SE, I'm not sure how that would work. You live with 3 child'en and Jeffe is in an apartment that I believe he's claimed as small. I guess my only gripe is a living quarters.

And so, as a saddle can become sore, so shall the end of our lives. This (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/Zakkajj/RobDanE1BrandonZak.jpg) picture may actually help instead. See, we had fun.

Man, I look fat.  I should have had the small combination instead of the large.

I'm not sure if he had said anything to any of you afterwards, but during Fell's tour of Salt Lake he wouldn't let go of how "not as great as this other mexican place" La Puenta was. I however must say that I liked it. But Fell just wouldn't let it go.

You know, I don't think I've ever heard Fell refer to any "Mexican" restraunt as being good.

Course, I'm not partial to Mexican or Tex-Mex food, so I could probably go to the best Mexican restraunt in the world and find it bland and over-spiced. When I think of good food, mexican food rarely comes to mind for me personallly.

I don't like spicy food, so you can probably imagine my feelings on mexican.

Kinda sad really since Curry is the national dish of britain now, heh.

I like hot dishes at Chinese restaurants. I don't mind a good jalapeƱo dish (though eating 'em straight causing me gut pain), but curry. I can't eat curry.

Fell doesn't think Mexican food is good unless it's cooked in a garbage can on the side of the road.  Anything remotely sanitary is considered a sell-out.

I decree that 5 points be subtracted from Fell and added to HoM.

Can't be limey - the brits never make anything even remotely considered spicy. BTW, I'm surprised my login still works. It appears I am not forgotten.

The brits never make anything spicey? Heh... someone needs to take a look at the 'takeaways' section of the uk phonebooks.

Welcome back, whoever you are   ::)
