walked on any hot coals lately?
« on: July 02, 2004, 05:05:43 AM »
Well it's summer here in california and I get out of the car about six blocks from home when I realize that the ground has got to be a good hundred and some degrees and my feet are burning, I then realize my freind has already driven away so I'm walking six block on black burning road with no shade by the time I got home mmy feet were red and looked like they might blister, so now my feet are burnt and it hurts to walk...anyone ever have a experience similar to mine?

I haven't had that experience. So I will just laugh at yours. Bwahahahaha.

I used to do that on purpose to toughen up my feet every summer. Gave me an advantage at the pool when the ice cream man came....

I've walked on Old King Cole. But he wasn't very hot.

On a completely unrelated subject, I have a friend who really walks on hot coals. But I know that coals and coles are different. I just thought I'd bring it up.

Y'know, at over a hundred degrees, it wouldn't take that long to burn you're feet, considering water (which you are made of) is already boiling.

except that we're talking Farenheit, as is typical for Americans. Instead of that silly, logical metric system.

You mean the one that makes sense? Celsius is based on water, a very smart thing to base it around, since humans are made of it and use it daily.

Then there's kelven, which also makes sense, since zero is zero - no heat.

Fraenheit is stupid and does not make any sense at all.

Yes, please change the title to coals. C-O-A-L-S.

Homophones are going to cause me to go to jail, I swear, when the ask at the trial what lead me to murder, I'll scream, "HOMOPHONES!"

And then the American public will think I hate gays because no one reads anymore.  Apparently.

Ah, but read TFOs post again. If I read it correctly, he said he was walking on a road. A road is quite a good conductor, much better than coals. I think. Unless I'm wrong, which I probably am.

of course, the temperature he mentioned was an exaggeration and an approximation, AND you were using the wrong scale. I doubt TFO meant you to take the 100 degrees literally, and definitely not as Centigrade. So really, your whole boiling comment means very little.

Sorry if I didn't' make it clear, but I knew he was using a different scale. I just took the oppurtunity to make a jab at Americans. It's kinda what I do.

In repsonse to TFO: /me throws head back and laughs.
