Hey guys!
I know I haven't been posting much lately, but I'm still around lurking and making sure you guys keep out of trouble.
I did want to pass along some good news you may be interested in. I'm now one of the hosts of Fear the Boot (http://feartheboot.libsyn.com/), which is a gaming podcast based here in St. Louis. Over the last year they've become pretty popular and are even up for an Ennie Award this year. I'm pretty excited. It's like taking The Nerdery to a whole new level.
For those interested, check it out here (http://feartheboot.libsyn.com/). My debut episode is #62 and you can tell I'm a bit nervous. Hope to have a bit more skill on the mic this week!
Cheers!

hey hey a rockstar!
You want us to post a blog entry whenever one of your podcasts shows up?
-
Wow, that'd be awesome.
They release every Wednesday. But there are Interview and Bonus Eps that drop randomly.
Thanks!
-
cool. I'll give it a listen after my metting today.
-
Was a fun listen Mr. P.
So are you one that podcast full time or only a guest occasionally because they said you were a guest at the start.
-
That was originally a guest stint, but I impressed the hosts so much that I got invited on full time.
So I'll be on each episode from now on. Expect my 'radio' voice to improve over the next few episodes.
-
Well congrats on that.
I think it's very cool especially considering how popular that podcast already is so you're like an instant celeb in the RPG circle. I think I need an autograph, preferably on a prescription form..I need to by some more contacts.
-
wow, that's really cool Dr. P. I've listened to some of their episodes already, and really enjoyed them. From what I remember of your talking around here of past you should be a pretty good addition to that cast. I'm glad to hear the news!
-
Hey Dr. P, where would you recommend starting on the FtB forums? It's daunting to someone who's just walking in.
Thanks
-
It's best to just jump right into the FtB forums. Start with the Introductions page to say hello and then hit up Gen. Discussion and Roleplaying games. Those are the most active forums. Or, you can post your thoughts on various episodes in the Episodes forum.
The folks are pretty friendly overall. Don't be shy.
It's kind of weird that in the span of a few days I actually have become a very minor internet celeb. The FtB fanbase is about 2000 listeners and I've gotten quite a bit of feedback and PMs. It's pretty cool.
-
Don't let it all get to your head now. =P
But I've been slowly crawling around the forums and checking out whats there. I've also been listening to some back-issue podcasts.
Have fun with this man! This is definitely something I wish I could be a part of. It just seems like so much fun. Plus you have people to game with.
-
I owe a lot of gaming to the FtB forums.
After my main group fell apart, I was able to join in another from folks I met there. Plus they got me back into Warmachine/Hordes.
It's a lot like this place, only it's local for me.
-
MMmmmm, you're giving me this urge to buy a new RPG book, read it, and maybe try it out.

It's kinda how TWG is for a lot of people here, except popular.
-
When I first joined the forums there my first thought was, "Wow, it's like TWG only I'm the local this time!"
-
Episode 63 is live!
If you could put this on the front page as offered, St. P, I'd be eternally grateful.
-
Sure, I'll get to it once I get a few other things done I'm working on.
Done. I hope you guys don't mind me linking to your boot, I can change the image if you want, the image will help the post stand out.
-
No, that's awesome, man! I'll put a Shameless Plug for here in our forums.
The only thing is that it's Meyer, not Myer. Spriggan's spelling curse strikes again!
Thanks a lot, man!

Here's a question for ya Dr. P. What are the ages of the other hosts? It seems like Dan is the elder among everyone and that Adam, is it?, is a lot younger than everyone else.
-
Dan is 30.
Adam is in his mid-20's. John is in his early 20's.
