Spinx and the Cursed Mummy
« on: January 08, 2004, 03:55:22 PM »
I've had this one for about 2 weeks now. I have a good 9+ hours logged onto it (not including the 5 I had to erase and redo because of a glitch in the game which took me about 3 hours to get back so in the upwards of 14 hours now).

This is a great platformer. There's plenty of fun puzzles for you to solve, and enough action to hack up that'll keep you wanting a bit more. I recommend this one (over Prince of Persia) if you want your fix of Egyptian mythology.

I'm going to wager that you mean "sphinx"

I can think of some words that "sound like" 'spinx' and they'd be ones Gemm would come up with.

Does it have ritual sacrifices of bananas?
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

Having played both, there's no comparison between Sphinx and PoP.

Sphinx is a goofy, but pretty fun platformer.  PoP is the realization of the perfection of the platformer that is also the realization of all of my ninja fantasies.

Yeah yeah SE. Cork, mouth, you, they're all synonyms. =P

But thats what I like Dr. P. Goofy fun. I have enough serious gaming, what with games like: TRON 2.0, and F-Zero GX, and life.

So yeah, I really like Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. Because of the goofy over throw.

So I just signed up at their website to receive updates. And I got one only a few minutes after signing up. And it seems they're planing another game, called Sphinx and the Shadow of Set.

The end of the game made me laugh, but also curse the Mummy's luck. Poor guy...
