Site News / Forum Downtime
« on: November 19, 2006, 03:59:52 AM »
Just a heads up for you late night forum users, I'm going to closing down the forum tonight in about 30-60 minutes and it'll probably be down until the morning.  Got some maintenance to run.  Now if freaking bluehost would cooperate with me so I can actually do what I need to do without our host crapping out like it is on me right now.

Wizards of the Coast will publish a new edition of the Star Wars Role-Playing Game that includes content from all six films while presenting a thorough revision of the rules, making the game easier to learn, in Q2 2007....In addition to being the first Star Wars RPG product to include Episode III content, this new version of the Star Wars RPG is much more "miniatures friendly" than previous editions and includes a battle map and guidelines for using Star Wars miniatures in game play.

Site News / Change in Article Display on the main page
« on: October 23, 2006, 03:35:30 PM »
Starting today (once I get home from school to upload the changes) TWG will now always display the most recent 5 or so articles instead of having them expire.

If you have a suggestion on how many should be on the main page post it here.

YouTube has removed nearly 30,000 videos after being contacted by a number of Japanese rights-holders, according to the Japan Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC). The group says that its members found 29,549 videos on YouTube that contain unauthorized materials taken from Japanese sources, including movies, music videos, and television.

So a lot the funny japanese tv shows are gone and so are anime stuff, there goes one reason for me going to youtube.

Video Games / City of Heros 2
« on: September 27, 2006, 10:31:29 PM »
Yep, it's in development for Vista and the 360 but the twist is they're teaming up with Marvel to make it a...well a Marvel themed MMO.  Not sure how much it'll play like COH but Cryptic must be happy to be making a big name game for Marvel and Microsoft since they'll both advertise it.

Video Games / PS3 take I lost count
« on: September 06, 2006, 12:21:42 PM »
So the PS3 has been limited to 400,000 in the US and 100,000 in Japan due to manufacturing problems, it's been well publicized that SONY has had a hard time getting the lenses for the lasers from a 3rd party.  The rest of the world now has to wait until next March to get their hands on one too, this is a big change from 2,000,000 for a world wide launch.
