on a similar but unrelated note, there have apparently been several (as in, a bunch, not just a half dozen) information thefts from US Department of State computers around the world, including HQ here in DC. WTOP reports that the hacking appeared to focus on data about China and North Korea.

Is this worrisome to anyone else?

I heard about that this morning, my understanding was that they did not get any major information as they discovered the leak and sealed it off.

I am not terribly worried, however I think that better measures should be taken to protect the information before hand.

It probably was the NK government. We should fire a couple of nukes just off their shore to show them we mean business.  

Did you know it is illegal to detonate nuclear weapons in the state of Utah? No law against having them, you just can't detonate them. Kinda makes me wanna join the arms race!

The State Deparment actually hasn't said what was taken, as of yesterday the comment is "we don't know yet".

No, because in order to fire it, I would have to attatch it to a missle or a rocket, missles are rockets with guidance which are illegal, a rocket is totally legal but I can only go so high without getting FAA clearance. Once you get that, you're good.

Hmm... now that I hear the state isn't sure what is taken I am a little more concerned.

it doesn't have to be a *big* nuke. A small lightweight one might not have the wholesale destruction that most warheads carried by ICBMs, but it's still going to do some nasty damage.
