That's horrible. I hope he'll recover. Are they saying he'll eventually be okay, or do they know at this point?

incidentally, I got to work without incident. The only time I had anything remotely resembling an issue was making a turn well into the parking lot, a skid that lasted around a half-second. I think the roads are clearing up better now.

And the people who get dumped on with snow and don't freak out over 1" point and laugh.
So you prayed for a snow day and it happened right?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I took it he ment that even 1 inch of snow can cause problems.

If its the other way around then I apologize. Otherwise the statement stands...

Yeah, more snow today. I haven't checked yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if my school closed again today. (We had a snow day Monday too.) Not happy with that, though, because I have a lot of work I need to get done, and I was hoping to do it in the library between two appointments over by school.

Actualy that 1" thing had a point.
I have always had issues with slippage and traction MORE when driving in light snow than the deep stuff.

Deep Snow has a way of keeping your wheels straight...

Alles!!!

yeah, deep snow doesn't do as much DAMAGE. It can be so deep that it prevents you from moving, but there's less slippage if you can get out into it an move.
