Currently reading Animal Farm. I don't like this book, it has terrible Cold Ware Era propaganda written all over it. Don't see why people praise this book.
A lot of people describe Scalzi’s Old Man's War novels as military science fiction, but I would classify its sequel Zoë’s Tale as a space opera. It’s a story about, well, Zoë, a teenage girl whose parents are invited to take leadership roles in building a colony on a new planet. Zoë is an enthusiastic member of the group sent to colonize Roanoke, despite the risks—and the risks are considerable even before the political machinations of greater powers boil to the surface. I'm having a hard time remembering this section, and it doesn't make sense to me intuitively. I mean, Szeth is a Windrunner, so he pretty much needs an honorspren right? Or perhaps him having an honorspren made him a Truthless? (Also, who the heck trained him to Surgebind?)
I think that this is just one of the things that we don't know enough about yet.
The only thing that could possibly qualify as an "element" is the black sphere Gavilar had, but Hoid doesn't HAVE that.
Let me first assure you that the element is quite safe. I have found a good home for it. I protect its safety like I protect my own skin, you might say.
I'm extremely inclined to agree with you because I haven't read the WoT. I've been saying he should work on his own stuff the whole time!
