That works too. :)

Do they accept submissions of lists of errors?
You could try the typos thread?

You can assume that anything that Peter says is true unless Brandon directly contradicts it AFTER Peter says it.

I'd be willing to bet that the Stormlight Archive is not going to be released back to back. I expect at least one non SA book between each book in the series.

Looks pretty slick, but the UI doesn't look as friendly as they say. The more I use any electronics, the more I just want the UI to be fast and arranged well. There are designers who study user interface with physical and electronic objects, but most of them sadly seem more interested in creating fashionable objects and UIs than in making a truly user-centric design. That said, I doubt if Emblaze has one of these kinds of designers in its employ, though often (IMO), a room full of nerds brainstorming is just as effective as one high-priced designer.

Sorry for the mini-rant. I was an industrial design major for a bit. :P

But change the order of those steps. Disinfect, then change the password. :P

Dan Wells / Re: Dan Sanderson?

Man, I misread that as Dandon Wangderson for a sec there. Note to self: this is not Cracked.
if his name was dan sanderson, i'd totally have to call him danderson.
It's even better than Branderson! Scatalogical references for the PG rating!

John Clever? I hope he gets a cameo in book 3. Or in Brandon's forthcoming IANaSK fanfic.

For a knot that can slip out, but is still somewhat secure, I used knotted (overhand) shoelaces. If you tie it with an overhand knot, but add another turn, it's secure enough to take almost anything without slipping. You do have to give it a bit of encouragement for it to slip free, but with something rougher in the same general configuration, you could probably use a standard overhand knot. A braided cord might work, but the knobbiness and twistiness of the repeated overhands seemed to work pretty well.

The motion to remove my cloak was a light pull at the location where the shoelaces attach to the cloak, or a pull with more force anywhere else on the cloak.

I enjoyed Raymond Feist's Krondor series for the most part.

I pronounce Elend as El-lend, with both vowels sounding like those in "velvet". The vowels are slurred together and neither one has a consistent emphasis (though one always does have a slight emphasis, it's not always the same one).

The French pronunciation of Valette is Vah-let. I've said it as Va-let (with a hard "A" like in "and") accidentally/lazily at times, and a French speaker would understand what you were trying to say if you said it that way, though they would likely correct you.

How do y'all pronounce Renoux? (Reh-noo, "R" slightly in the throat)

Wikipedia has a good guide on french pronunciation if anyone is interested.

Or maybe just for the goths.

They need to define things that they like/dislike by darkness or color. Eg. "My vespa is so dark. It did the Kessel run in like two units of measurement."

Thirded. Good Omens was actually the first Pratchett book I read, and moving on to his other work, I was afraid that it wouldn't be close enough to his collaborative effort. :P

Anything by Roger Zelazny deserves a read. The Corwin saga (Amber 1-5) is probably the most essential Zelazny read.

Ee, I'll have to look into that. :)

You don't happen to live anywhere near Ithaca, NY do you?
Uhh... unfortunately not. But one of the places I may be moving this summer is Baltimore!

Excellent choice on the pattern for the yoke. The fabric complements it nicely as well. The idea of attaching the streamers to the inside seems good. At first I was thinking that you would want to attach some extra heavy-weight fabric to the bottom of the yoke for weight, but then I realized that the streamers will do that job. It looks like you put plenty of time into design, or at least have enough experience to be able to improvise better than I can plan. ;D

I see now that the machine is indeed unlikely to be in my area. :P I'll probably look around anyway.
